Equipment Loan Highlights

  • The HF R300 can record video in Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, resulting in crisp and clear footage. It also features a 3.28-megapixel CMOS sensor and Canon's DIGIC DV III Image Processor, which work together to produce high-quality video in a variety of lighting conditions.
  • This is one of Audio-Technica's most popular headphones. It features large 45mm drivers and a closed-back design, which provides excellent sound isolation and a deep bass response. It also has a comfortable and durable design, making it ideal for studio use and long listening sessions.
  • The DR-60D can record up to four channels of audio simultaneously, allowing you to capture dialogue, sound effects, and music separately. This feature makes it ideal for multi-track recording in film and video production.
  • The Zoom H6 has four XLR/TRS combo jacks and a stereo 3.5mm input, which can be swapped out for additional inputs, such as an XLR/TRS combo jack with a second stereo 3.5mm input, or an additional XLR/TRS combo jack.
  • The Snowball is very easy to use, thanks to its plug-and-play USB connectivity. It features a cardioid polar pattern that is ideal for recording speech and vocals, as it helps to reduce background noise and focus on the sound source in front of the microphone. It also has a frequency response range of 40Hz - 18kHz, which is more than sufficient for most recording applications.
  • The Canon 80D features a 24.2-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor that delivers high-quality images with excellent detail and dynamic range. It also features a DIGIC 6 image processor that helps to reduce noise and produce clear, sharp images.
  • One of the key features of the LiDE 110 is its high-resolution scanning capabilities. It can scan documents and photos with a maximum resolution of 2400 x 4800 dpi.

Equipment & Media Production

The Digital Media Lab provides UMass students, faculty and staff access to production rooms, sound rooms, audio/video equipment and workstations with video production software.

3D Printing & Design

The Digital Media Lab’s 3D Innovation Center has 50 3D printers and three 3D scanners. Our printers use the Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) process of laying down successive layers of plastic filament which stick together to create an object.

Our 3D Print Services are available from 12-5pm Monday through Friday.
